Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with proven experience in high-quality pipe welding, specifically using autogenous root techniques on J-prep joints. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision welds on stainless steel and/or exotic alloy pipework used in demanding industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-precision TIG welding on pipework using autogenous root welding methods (J-prep).

Fit, align, and prepare pipe joints to exact specifications.

*

Produce clean, consistent root passes with strict adherence to welding procedures.

*

Weld to coded/PWPS standards where applicable.

*

Read and interpret isometric drawings, weld maps, and technical documents.

*

Inspect own welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

*

Work closely with supervisors and QA to ensure all work meets project specifications.

*

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in TIG welding on pipework

*

Strong understanding of pipe preparation, fit-up, and welding sequence.

*

Ability to weld stainless steel; experience with nickel alloys or duplex is a bonus.

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering/isometric drawings.

*

Current TIG welding certifications or the ability to test on-site.

*

Strong commitment to quality, consistency, and safety.

*

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

£29.54 Basic PAYE

Overtime - £28.82, £32.50 and £43.34
