Panel Wirer – Long-term temporary contract

Location: Slough

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 08:00 am – 1:00 pm

Pay: £13.00- £14:00 per hour depending on experience

Type: Ongoing contract

Start Date: Immediate

Our client is a well-established manufacturer who are looking for an experienced panel wirer to join the team on a long-term contract basis.

As a Panel wirer, you'll play a key role in assembling and wiring electrical components, ensuring all parts are correctly installed and systems function reliably to support production and meet quality standards.

What you’ll be doing as a Panel Wirer:

Assembling and wiring panels and control units to technical drawings and wiring schematics
Installing components such as relays, switches, fuses, and connectors with precision and care
Carrying out point-to-point wiring and cable routing to ensure high standards of electrical safety and reliability
Testing completed assemblies for continuity, functionality, and compliance with specifications
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues or component shortages
Maintaining a clean and organised work area to support efficient production
Following all health and safety proceduresWhat we’re looking for in a Panel Wirer:

Proven experience as a Panel Wirer or Cable Assembler, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
Skilled in crimping, soldering, cable preparation, and panel layout
Familiarity with electrical safety practices and quality control procedures
A reliable and detail-focused approach to your work
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
