About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimating Lead to oversee the preparation and submission of MEP tenders, ensuring accurate costings, robust commercial risk assessment, and the delivery of competitive bid submissions. This role plays a key part in driving commercial success across mechanical, electrical, and public health disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the estimating team across mechanical, electrical, and public health disciplines.

Manage tender review, risk analysis, and approval processes.

Develop detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor inputs.

Oversee take-offs, value engineering, and overall bid strategy.

Liaise with design, procurement, and delivery teams to validate costs and ensure technical alignment.

Present final tender submissions and recommendations to senior management.

Maintain and develop historical cost databases and benchmarking data for future pricing accuracy.

About You

You are a commercially astute and detail-oriented estimating professional with a deep understanding of MEP systems and project delivery. You'll have strong analytical skills, leadership ability, and a proven record in preparing accurate, competitive tenders for complex projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Extensive experience in MEP estimating within the construction or building services sector.

Strong understanding of tender processes, commercial risk management, and cost control.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Proficiency with estimating software and cost management tools.
