Pavers – Bedford

UKR Group is looking for 3 x experienced Pavers to start ASAP in a job in Bedford, Bedfordshire.

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in laying granite sets and proficient in laying pavers and slabs for various outdoor projects.
This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality results.

To be successful for this job, you must have:

* Valid Blue CSCS card

* Proof of right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

* Lay paving sets according to project specifications and designs.

* Prepare the ground by excavating and levelling surfaces to create a stable foundation for paving materials.

* Mix and apply mortar or adhesive as needed for secure placement of pavers.

* Ensure proper alignment and spacing of pavers/slabs during installation.

* Perform repairs and maintenance on existing paved surfaces as required.

* Collaborate with other construction professionals, including masons, carpenters, and roofers, to complete projects efficiently.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.

Skills:

* Experience with hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.

* Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in workmanship.

* Physical fitness to handle the demands of lifting heavy materials and working on your feet for extended periods.

* Previous experience is advantageous but not essential.
