Our client is a well renowned Landscape Business with an enviable reputation. They now require a CAD Technician to join there business.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* You’ll join in with our company events and socials where possible, helping to build a collaborative work environment.
* You’ll uphold our company values, outlined in our employee handbook.
* You’ll laisse with external design team members and address coordination issues.
* You’ll work closely with other members of staff including designers, foremen, site and maintenance operatives, and the admin team to achieve project objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Create, modify, and update detailed construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD software.
* Prepare technical drawings for construction, including site layouts, setting out drawings, elevations, sections, details and specifications.
* Collaborate with project teams to gather design requirements and ensure accurate representation.
* Assist in the development of 3D models and BIM files – Previous experience in this is welcomed but not mandatory.
* Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision tracking.
* Review and ensure that all drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
* Support the preparation of as-built drawings and construction documentation packages.
* Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input as needed.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (not essential), and other drafting software
* Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* You’ll be fluent in both spoken and written English.
* You’ll have a reasonable understanding of landscape construction.
* 2+ years of experience in a similar CAD technician or drafter role, preferably in the construction or architectural industry.
