A Good Secondary School based in Redbridge, is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Law to join their team from September.

This large secondary school located in the borough of Redbridge, are looking to recruit a Teacher of Law to join their team from September. The Senior Leadership Team have the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. The school have undergone many changes over the years, but at the heart they remain a school with traditional values.
The Senior Leadership Team are very supportive of their staff and are always trying to better their expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders place great importance on developing the whole child. They have high expectations on pupil's behaviour, and students do behave well, showing respect towards each other and towards adults."

TEACHER OF LAW:
Here lies the opportunity to join not only a great school, but a very successful department. The school are looking to appoint a Teacher of Law who is also able to teach Social Science or ICT to KS3. The intention of the Law department is to support students in developing competence: a confident style and sense of purpose in their written work and speaking skills. Students should be able to respond to a variety scenarios in clear and precise manner. The second objective is to nurture people of conscience by helping them to understand that Law governs every aspect of our lives from conception to exhumation. The KS5 course encourages students to develop the skills necessary to analyse and solve problems by applying legal rules and to develop the ability to communicate legal arguments and conclusions clearly and succinctly. Through their studies, students will experience content of lasting human value enabling them to conclude that humanity is of invaluable worth, that the world is constantly evolving and that we are called in all instances to be merciful, compassionate and just.
The role is to start in September and will be for the full academic year.
To be considered for this Teacher of Law role you must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
PGCE in Law
Experience teaching Law to KS5
Ability to teach Social Science and/or ICT
