The Role:
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, building local relationships, and curating a lively, inclusive atmosphere through exciting events and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the day-to-day operations of the pub, ensuring exceptional standards in service, cleanliness, and food & drink quality.

* Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a positive and respectful work culture.

* Oversee and grow our events calendar, including quiz nights, live music, open mic nights, family events, and sports tournaments.

* Manage budgets, stock levels, rotas, and all aspects of compliance, health & safety, and licensing regulations.

* Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain consistent food quality and customer satisfaction.

* Be a visible presence during busy periods – especially evenings and weekends – engaging with guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

* Proactively promote the pub through local outreach, partnerships, and social media, helping to boost footfall and repeat business.

* Respond to customer feedback in a positive, solution-focused manner.

About You:

* A proven track record as a successful pub or hospitality manager.

* Confident, hands-on, and able to lead from the front.

* Experience in managing live events and community-focused initiatives.

* Financially astute, with solid experience in managing budgets and driving profitability.

* Committed to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.

* Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

* Excellent communication skills and a people-first mindset.
