Job Title: Food Tech Teacher

Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are recruiting for a full-time Food Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Hull where creativity and life skills are celebrated.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that focus on practical cookery, nutritional understanding, and healthy lifestyles.
Manage kitchen-based classrooms safely and effectively, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are upheld.
Inspire creativity and independence through hands-on learning and cross-curricular projects.
Track and assess pupil progress, adapting lesson plans to support all learners.
Collaborate with colleagues across the Design & Technology faculty to enhance interdisciplinary teaching.
Contribute to departmental development, enrichment activities, and food-based initiatives across the school.
Job Requirements:

A qualified teacher status (QTS) specialisation in Food Technology or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Food Technology.
Strong subject knowledge in nutrition, food preparation and health & safety regulations.
A passion for practical learning, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Applications from experienced TAs or Cover Supervisors with a food tech or practical learning background are welcome.
Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
