Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Reeson Education is working with a nurturing and supportive primary school in the sk7 area to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role will involve working 1:1 with a KS1 pupil who is currently working at EYFS level. The pupil has significant needs, including Speech, Language and Communication (SLCN), global developmental delay, and social and emotional difficulties.
Teaching Assistant - The Role
Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil on a 1:1 basis
Pupil is working below age-related expectations and requires tailored support
The child has difficulty communicating and regulating emotions, which can result in some challenging behaviour when they become frustrated or overwhelmed
Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to provide structure, calm guidance, and personalised strategies to help the pupil thrive

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
Calm, patient, and resilient in the face of emotional dysregulation and behaviour challenges
Experienced (or confident) in working with children who have SLCN and global delay
Familiar with EYFS-level learning and development strategies
A confident communicator who can work closely with class teachers and SENCOs
