Are you passionate about science and enjoy supporting young learners in their studies? We’re looking for a dedicated Science Technician to join an outstanding secondary school in Birmingham.

The Role

As a Science Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Science Department to deliver engaging and safe practical lessons. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for practical science lessons

Ensuring all experiments and activities are conducted safely and efficiently

Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and stock

Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions

Upholding health and safety standards at all times

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Science Technician (preferred) or within a lab environment

Strong understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
