Medical Receptionist
£27,000 per annum + overtime
Brentwood, Essex
Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts between 7:45am-7:30pm
1 in 3 Saturdays, 7:45am-12:45pm - paid overtime
Please note that appointment to this role is dependent upon a satisfactory DBS check.

My client, a well-established and busy medical practise in Brentwood, Essex, is looking for a vibrant Medical Receptionist to join their dedicated team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves interacting with patients.
Your Role:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and well-cared for. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Greet and check in patients and visitors warmly and professionally
Manage patient appointments using the clinical system
Respond to phone calls, emails, and patient queries promptly
Verify ID, process payments, and maintain accurate records
Handle prescriptions and liaise with third-party providers
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area
Support clinical staff with administrative and patient-related tasks
Uphold confidentiality, infection control and regulatory standards
Conduct chaperoning, stock control, equipment audits, and task managementSkills Required:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Previous experience in a reception or admin role is essential
Excellent communication skills and a clear, polite telephone manner
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
Proficient IT skills to handle various systems
A positive and friendly persona that radiates warmth
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Good administration skills with keen attention to detail
