Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Field Based Engineer to join a leading team within the power systems industry. This field-based role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoys travelling to various sites across the UK.

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of rental loadbanks, transformers, and associated electrical equipment. You'll play a key part in ensuring high equipment availability, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities as Field Service Engineer:

Install and commission rental loadbanks and transformers at customer sites.

*

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs and upgrades.

*

Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

*

Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and environmental standards.

*

Maintain accurate documentation, including service logs and timesheets.

*

Deliver technical support to clients on-site and remotely.

*

Adhere to safe working practices and participate in risk assessments.

*

Support warehouse operations when required and assist in mentoring new team members.

Requirements for Field Service Engineer:

*

Strong knowledge of power systems and electrical equipment.

*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

*

Proven experience in a field service or installation engineering role.

*

Full UK driving licence – essential.

*

Flexible to travel and stay away as needed (with expenses covered).

*

Excellent fault-finding skills and a customer-first approach.
