We’re working on behalf of a well-established specialist in fire protection and building safety compliance to recruit an experienced Account Manager. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth delivery of passive fire projects and the development of long-term client relationships.

The Role:
You will act as the key liaison between clients and project delivery teams across a range of passive fire protection works including fire doors, fire stopping, fire dampers, and ventilation/smoke extract systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead on client engagement and satisfaction, ensuring consistent communication throughout project lifecycles (60–70% of the role is client-focused)

Working alongside Project Managers to manage multiple accounts, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and compliant with all relevant standards
*
Be the first point of contact for clients throughout project delivery, identifying and resolving potential issues early
*
Develop and implement action plans for any escalated issues, ensuring the project team is aligned on next steps
*
Working with Project Managers to provide regular internal and external reporting on project progress, risks, and opportunities
*
Front difficult conversations with confidence and empathy, maintaining trust and professionalism
*
Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and extend existing contracts
*
Engage in business development activity, identifying and converting new client opportunities to support company growth
*
Collaborate closely with operations, commercial, and compliance teams to ensure a joined-up approach to service delivery
About You:
*
Proven experience in account or client management roles within the passive fire, wider fire protection, or construction/FM sector
*
Knowledge of passive fire protection systems (e.g. fire doors, fire stopping, fire dampers, smoke control) is highly desirable
*
Solutions-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
*
Strong communicator, able to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
*
Confident leading client conversations, both strategic and challenging, with clarity and empathy
*
Commercially astute with a good understanding of contract management and service delivery KPIs
*
Able to work independently but also as part of a high-performing and visible team
