Are you a skilled Engineering Analyst passionate about solving complex problems and driving innovation in the energy sector?
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Analyst to join an expert engineering team on a major project advancing nuclear fusion-one of the world's most promising clean energy solutions.
In this role, you will carry out advanced design and simulation work across mechanical systems and assemblies, using state-of-the-art tools to push the boundaries of what's possible in a high-performance, research-led environment.
? Key Responsibilities:
Design & Analysis
* Develop and assess design concepts using classical methods and simulation tools
* Build and refine Finite Element (FE) models of components and assemblies
* Lead multi-physics simulation and validation work packages
Code Development
* Write and validate analysis code to enhance simulation capability
* Manage supporting documentation and development processes
Functional Verification
* Use advanced tools to verify designs against functional and load specifications
Develop load specifications and manage verification efforts across teams
✅ What We're Looking For:
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* 4+ years in engineering analysis or mechanical design roles
Technical Skills
* Advanced Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation experience
* Strong knowledge of FEA and multi-physics systems
Soft Skills
* Confident leading small teams and collaborating across disciplines
* Strong problem-solver with a proactive, innovation-driven mindset
