The Role:
AA Euro Group are seeking a motivated and experienced Development Project Manager to join a leading renewables company based in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team driving the development of large-scale renewable energy projects across Northern Ireland. This role will strongly suit someone with large Wind Sector experience in particular.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the process of securing planning consents and amendments.

* Ensure planning compliance throughout the pre-construction phase.

* Oversee all planning studies, including EIA, visuals, and consultant management.

* Manage relationships with external stakeholders (landowners, planners, politicians, consultants, utilities, local authorities).

* Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Senior Management, Renewables Development & O&M Teams, Corporate Development, and Regulation.

* Conduct resource assessments and contribute to technology selection and site layout optimisation.

* Engage in commercial negotiations with stakeholders and project counterparties.

* Oversee risk and opportunity management across multiple projects.

* Provide input to regulatory consultations and lobbying activities.

* Develop and manage project budgets and cash flow forecasts.

* Lead project reporting and resourcing as needed.

* Support the due diligence of acquisition opportunities.

Requirements:

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related discipline.

* Strong understanding of the renewables industry, particularly large-scale project development.

* Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and teams (including consultants/contractors).

* Working knowledge of the Northern Ireland planning process.

* Full clean driving licence.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience managing projects through development and construction phases.

* Skilled in community consultation and engagement.

* Understanding of property agreements relevant to project development.

* Familiarity with renewables construction contracts.

* Knowledge of grid connection agreements.
