We are supporting a fast-growing pharmaceutical services organisation with the appointment of a QMS Manager, a newly created role introduced as part of continued expansion and investment.
The business operates within a highly regulated environment, manufacturing bespoke medicines for patients with complex clinical needs alongside a national clinical homecare nursing service. As the organisation scales, this role has been created to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) evolves in line with growth and remains robust, compliant, and fit for purpose.
QMS Manager
Location: Chippenham (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £60,000 + excellent benefits

The Role
This is a highly visible Quality leadership position, with full ownership of the organisation’s Quality Management System to MHRA standards.
Based primarily at a manufacturing site in the Chippenham area, the QMS Manager will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, R&D, and wider business functions, acting as the central point of expertise for QMS governance, review, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Full ownership, maintenance, and ongoing development of the QMS
Ensuring compliance with MHRA and relevant regulatory standards
Leading QMS governance, review cycles, and change control activities
Supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions
Partnering with operational teams to deliver pragmatic, compliant quality solutions
Driving a strong quality culture across manufacturing and support functions
Leading and developing members of the Quality team
Supporting the business through growth, change, and expansion
About You
This role will suit an experienced Quality professional who enjoys ownership, influence, and working cross-functionally in a growing, regulated environment.
We’re keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
Experience within pharmaceutical or medical device environments
A strong background in QMS-focused roles, with clear system ownership
Senior QA experience, including supervisory or leadership exposure
Confidence working closely with operations and managing change
A science-based degree (or equivalent)
A collaborative, pragmatic approach with the confidence to challenge and improve

Package & Working Pattern
Salary: £60,000
Annual Leave: 25 days (increasing with service) + bank holidays
Pension: Employer contribution via a leading pension provider

Working pattern:
Hybrid working available (typically 3 days on-site, 2 from home)
Standard 8-hour working day with a 30-minute lunch break
