Payroll Manager
? Salary: Up to £55,000
? Location: Borehamwood (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)

You’ll oversee payroll operations for 8,000 employees across multiple sites, lead a team of three, and play a key role in driving process improvement and compliance within a supportive, collaborative culture.
? Key Responsibilities
✅ Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll for a large, multi-site workforce
✅ Lead and develop a team of 3 payroll professionals
✅ Oversee payroll compliance, reporting, and audit processes
✅ Partner with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and statutory compliance
✅ Support continuous improvement and system enhancement projects
? Ideal Candidate Profile
? Proven experience managing payroll in a large, multi-site UK organisation
? Strong leadership and communication skills – personable and proactive
? Excellent Excel skills and payroll system experience
? CIPP qualified or equivalent experience
? Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
