Job Overview – HGV Class 1 Tramping

Role: HGV Class 1 Tramper. + £24.00 Tax Free Night Out Allowance.

Job Role: This is an old school tramping role, general haulage - Steel and Concrete contracts on flatbeds, physical work required. No two loads the same.

Trucks: 2 year old Scania Trucks with Fridge freezer.

Location: Barnsley Depot, Nationwide work.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:

* A valid HGV Class 1 licence (minor points considered, no more than 6 points)

The Role Includes:

* Providing excellent customer service

* Chaining.

* Physical labour.

* Tramping on client sites, services etc.

* Adherence to all tachograph, driver, and road regulations

* Conducting pre-start vehicle safety checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness

* Completing all legal and customer-relevant paperwork

* A digital tachograph card and full CPC

* Minimum 1 year’s C+E driving experience

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good geographical knowledge

* Excellent customer service skills

* Experience driving Class 1 vehicles within the last 6 months
