Job title:                  Transport Refrigeration Engineer

Location:                 Field based covering Devon & Cornwall areas

Permanent:             Full time, Monday to Friday and every other weekend on a rota basis

Salary:                    Competitive

VMS (Refrigeration) Ltd is part of the fast growing VMS Automotive Group offering a range of services comprising of Contract Hire & Fleet Management, Accident Management as well as offering Maintenance Services from our inhouse workshops and a leading provider of transport refrigeration systems, air conditioning solutions and converting panel vans into commercial, refrigerated vehicles.  VMS Automotive operate nationwide with workshops and vehicle hire sites throughout the UK with our Head Office based in Stevenage and our Operations centre based in Bury St Edmunds.

As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for additional team members to join our team to help us continue providing outstanding service to our customers.

The Role:

• Responsible for routine servicing and repairs as required, mechanical fault finding, electrics and all other duties associated with this role.

• Completing all work assigned daily, ensuring adherence to company and manufacturer standards and agreed time constraints.

• Ensuring that work is always to the highest standard, seeking to achieve consistently high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

• Maintain levels of stock on the van to agreed specification.

• Able to prioritise and organise workload to achieve set deadlines and KPIs

• Maintain good working relationship with clients.

Key Skills Required:

• Qualified to F-Gas Cat 1 or prepared to gain qualification.

• Have a full driving licence.

• Be an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player.

• Work to high levels of efficiency and productivity on own and as part of a team.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Have experience of working on refrigerated commercial vehicles, ideally Mercedes Benz, Ford, Fiat, Volkswagen and Isuzu.

• Have previous experience of working on transport refrigeration units
