Key Responsibilities of Head of Maths / Permanent Maths Teacher:

Plan and deliver dynamic Maths lessons tailored to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Teach Maths to students.
Lead the Maths department (for Head of Maths applicants), driving curriculum development and staff mentoring.
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to support individual growth.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in numeracy.
Organise and support extracurricular Maths activities and competitions.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to enhance the Maths curriculum and student outcomes.
Uphold health and safety standards in all activities.
Requirements for Head of Maths / Permanent Maths Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or equivalent overseas qualifications.
Experience teaching Maths is essential; leadership experience is desirable for Head of Maths applicants.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
