We are recruiting a Head of Technical for a critical healthcare contract at Manchester. 

Role Overview

Reporting to the Account Director, the HoT will be the technical authority for all aspects of M&E infrastructure, asset lifecycle, and compliance. This role ensures alignment with HTM/HBN standards and Trust strategy, leading on lifecycle programmes, step-in processes, and technical assurance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and monitoring of the asset lifecycle strategy

Ensure compliance with all technical and regulatory standards

Oversee and validate lifecycle schemes and upgrades

Drive decarbonisation and sustainability in asset planning

Manage technical risk, obsolescence, and critical spares

Engage with key stakeholders including the Trust and service partners

Chair internal compliance meetings and attend Trust technical safety forums

Line manage the Lifecycle Team and contribute to strategic planning

Essential:

Chartered Electrical Engineer with HND+ in Engineering

3-5 years' managerial experience in a PFI healthcare setting

Strong FM operations and lifecycle knowledge

IOSH Managing Safely, with experience as an Authorised Person

Excellent stakeholder and budget management skills

Data literate, confident with Microsoft Office

Desirable:

NEBOSH General Certificate

Working knowledge of mechanical systems

Experience delivering lifecycle schemes in healthcare
