Introduction:

Walmley Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accountant who embodies our values. If you're looking for a great working location, we overlook a 127-acre golf course, have a great personality and can-do attitude, we'd love to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

To be responsible for the full accounting duties and supporting and interacting with the other functions of the golf club. To get involved with all areas of the club to ensure that strong financial controls and best practice processes are in place. Provide a high quality service to the membership.

Experience:

* Worked in a responsible finance role with a minimum of 5 years experience

Responsibilities:

* Full accounting duties involved with running a busy golf club and clubhouse

* Act as a central point for the creation and retention of finance records of detailed operational activities for all functions of Walmley Golf Club.

* Maintain salary, wage & pension data to all best practice standards.

* Maintain documented best practice processes for all matters related to WGC finance control and to proactively identify, agree and implement process improvements where necessary.

* Oversee treasury and banking activities

Qualifications:

* Qualified or QBE accountant with experience of working in similar environments looking for part time role in a golf club environment

* Computer literate with strong analytical skills

* A strong eye for detail, ability to use initiative and to work without supervision

* Enthusiastic and motivated attitude with a willingness to get involved in the operations of the golf club
