Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable and growing plant hire and maintenance company, for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter based in Cardiff.

This is a long-term opportunity working primarily within a workshop environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.

The Role

Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.

Servicing and maintaining a variety of heavy plant machinery.

Working on equipment including excavators, telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and crushers.

Ensuring all machinery is maintained to a safe and operational standard.

Occasionally attending site-based repairs when required.

Requirements

Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on hydraulics and diesel engines.

Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.

Experience with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT, and Kubota is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and compliance.

Additional Information

Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
