Key Accountabilities:
· Carry out planned and scheduled maintenance.
· Quick respond to break downs, fault finding both electrical and mechanical.
· Perform regular inspections including lubricating, adjusting, and replacing components.
· Performs safety checks to protect both equipment operators and the plant.
· Identify and fix issues such as faulty wiring, broken fixtures or malfunctioning equipment.
· Replacements of consumable items, such as filters, belts, or lubricants,
· Testing and calibration of instruments to maintain accuracy and liability.
· Keep up to date maintenance record including booking parts.
· Managing cleaning crew prior or during maintenance.
Health & Safety
· Responsible for safe working environment ensuring meet H&S standards.
· Assists in the implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
- Compliance and Continuous Improvement
· Abide by and support the company’s environmental and quality management procedures.
· Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that develop team performance.
Skills and Qualifications
· A must is a formal electrical and mechanical engineering qualification i.e., apprenticeship, Degree, HND, HNC, City and Guilds Level 3, 17th or 18th Edition or NVQ Level 3.
· Must have workplace experience in a Mechanical, Electrical or Dual Skilled role.
· Previous experience in corrugated manufacturing and/or Die Cut, Multipoint gluing or Flexographic printing will be advantageous.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically are essential to troubleshooting and diagnosing machine faults.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to sustain and develop teamwork and team-based problem-solving.
· Well organised and able to work unsupervised.
· Computer literacy, Microsoft Word, Excel; Outlook.
· Good numerical and analytical skills.
· Can-do attitude.
· Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects.
