Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure role in a fast-moving manufacturing environment?
We’re working with a leading FMCG manufacturer in York, currently investing heavily in their site and engineering team. They're now looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to help keep the lines running smoothly and ensure maximum uptime across the plant.
⚙️ The Role:
Carrying out mechanical fault finding, repairs, and planned maintenance across production equipment
Working on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and packaging machinery
Supporting breakdowns, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement work
Assisting with installation and upgrade projects across the site
Maintaining safety standards and ensuring all work complies with site procedures? What You’ll Need:
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
Team player with a proactive, problem-solving approach⏰ Shift Pattern:
6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm rotating shifts (Monday to Friday – no weekends!)? What’s On Offer:
