Solar PV Electrician – North East England

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime
Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime available)

We are supporting a leading renewable energy contractor in their search for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join their team, working across commercial and utility-scale solar projects throughout the North East and wider UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified professional looking to develop their experience within a growing and forward-thinking sector.

The Role

You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of commercial-scale Solar PV systems, including:

*

Installation and maintenance of commercial roof-mounted Solar PV systems (100kW+)

*

Support on large-scale ground mount arrays up to 20MW

*

Conducting electrical works including inspection, testing, commissioning and fault finding

*

Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements

*

Working away from home occasionally on a planned basis

What We’re Looking For

*

Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent)

*

Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) preferred

*

Experience in Solar PV installation and maintenance is ideal, but not essential

*

Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards

*

Willingness to travel and stay away when required

*

Full UK driving licence
