Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work agency shifts at Great Western Hospital (GWH), NHS. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred mental health care in accordance with NHS policies, professional standards, and best clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate mental health nursing care to patients

*

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to care planning

*

Monitor patients’ mental state and risk, responding appropriately to changes

*

Administer medication in line with prescriptions and NHS protocols

*

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation

*

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

*

Support patients with acute, chronic, or complex mental health needs

*

Promote recovery-focused and person-centred care

*

Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies

Requirements:

*

Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

*

Minimum 6–12 months NHS mental health experience (preferred)

*

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*

Ability to work independently and adapt to different clinical environments

*

Right to work in the UK
