Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer
? Location: Manchester
? Contract: 3 Months
? Salary: £23 - £25
? Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and resilient Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to take the lead on managing and resolving reports of nuisance, harassment, and other forms of unacceptable behaviour across our communities. This is a challenging but rewarding frontline role, where no two days are the same and your actions can make a real difference to people’s quality of life.
You’ll investigate reports, gather evidence, and work closely with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies such as the police, local authorities, and support services to find fair and lasting solutions. You’ll balance empathy with firmness — supporting victims, holding perpetrators to account, and helping to build safer, more confident neighbourhoods.
Main Responsibilities
*
Investigate reports of anti-social behaviour, nuisance, and harassment in line with policies and legislation.
*
Interview complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout.
*
Gather and record evidence, prepare case files, and take appropriate enforcement action where required.
*
Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary partners to develop and deliver effective case resolutions.
*
Provide advice and support to residents affected by ASB, ensuring their safety and wellbeing are prioritised.
*
Maintain accurate case records and ensure all actions are properly documented and reported.
*
Contribute to wider community safety initiatives and preventative work.
About You
You’ll be confident, diplomatic, and able to handle complex and sometimes confrontational situations with professionalism and empathy. You’ll have sound judgement, strong communication skills, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for residents and communities
