Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead the internal fit out of a major, high-profile education construction project based near Cardiff. This is a long-term role on a complex, large-scale scheme delivered by a leading Tier 1 main contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the UK.

The successful Project Manager will take full responsibility for managing the fit-out phase, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the internal fit out package from pre-construction through to handover

*

Coordinate subcontractors and supply chain partners

*

Oversee programme planning, sequencing and progress reporting

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards

*

Manage commercial performance in conjunction with the commercial team

*

Chair site meetings and liaise with design, client and stakeholder teams

*

Drive snagging, commissioning and final handover activities

Candidate Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction or fit-out projects

*

Background working for a main contractor on large or complex schemes

*

Experience delivering education, commercial or public sector projects preferred

*

Strong knowledge of internal trades (drylining, ceilings, M&E interfaces, finishes)

*

Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

*

SMSTS, CSCS and relevant construction qualifications
