Job Description

My client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is now looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team, delivering a range of exciting projects across the education, commercial and residential sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute and motivated individual to take ownership of the full cost and commercial management process on multiple schemes, working with one of the UK’s most successful construction and development groups.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage commercial and contractual aspects across multiple construction projects.

* Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and reports.

* Lead subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract management.

* Ensure compliance with JCT and NEC contract conditions.

* Assess variations, valuations and agree final accounts.

* Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients and consultants.

* Mentor and support junior surveying staff.

Requirements

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

* Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in a QS role, preferably with a main contractor.

* Strong background in education, leisure, commercial or residential projects.

* In-depth knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts

* Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
