Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Weekends)
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000–£55,000 DOE
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Friday to Sunday, 6am–6pm
A well-established manufacturing business in South Yorkshire is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Engineer to support weekend operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across its production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of machinery
Diagnosing faults and conducting repairs to minimise downtime
Responding to breakdowns and ensuring timely resolution
Supporting machine modifications and upgrades
Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
Working safely at height and adhering to health and safety protocols
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics About You:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Confident working with 3-phase electrical systems
Skilled in fault-finding and problem-solving under pressure
Flexible and responsive to changing operational needs
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
