Job Overview:

We are seeking a Temporary Site Engineer for a 9-month contract based in Norwich, working on the construction of a new build McDonald’s including all associated civil engineering and groundwork elements.

This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive and competent engineer to manage all aspects of setting out and site engineering on a busy, fast-paced site.

Key Responsibilities:

General setting out duties for all aspects of the project

Cut and fill operations and associated level checks

Setting out and overseeing drainage installation

Kerbing and road construction

Installation of underground tanks and attenuation systems

Construction of new car parks and access roads

Supervision and setting out of cast-in-situ concrete structures

Coordination with site management and subcontractors to maintain progress

Ensuring works are delivered to specification and programme

Maintain accurate site records and as-built information

Requirements:

Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or similar)

Previous experience working on civils packages for new builds

Confident in using setting out equipment (Total Station, GPS, etc.)

Ideally will have own instruments (Total Station/GPS), although not essential

CSCS card required

Strong communication and coordination skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
