HGV Technician – Southampton Area

Family-Run Independent Workshop | Monday–Friday Only

We’re working with a well-established, family-run independent business in the Southampton area who are looking to add an experienced HGV Technician to their friendly and close-knit team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a stable, supportive working environment, sensible hours, and a workshop where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

The Role:

* Inspection, servicing and maintenance of HGVs

* MOT preparation and general repairs

* Working on air brake systems, suspension, and associated components

* Mostly HGV work with minimal LCV involvement

* Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven HGV Technician experience (essential)

* Confident carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs independently

* Reliable, team-focused, and takes pride in their work

* Positive attitude — you’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team

What’s on Offer:

* Salary from £18 per hour (depending on experience)

* 40-hour working week

* Monday to Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm

* Overtime paid at time and a half (weekdays only)

* No Saturday working

* 20 days holiday + bank holidays

* On-site parking
