About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer to take on a meaningful mission with critical products for military application.

You will take ownership, presenting as the technical and manufacturing lead on NPI builds

Key Responsibilities as Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer

* Focus on Circuit Card Assembly & Unit Level assembly

* Technical and Manufacturing Eng. lead on NPI Builds, owning schedule, cost, Quality standards, and Manufacturing best practices

* Engage from Bid and Proposal through NPI Builds to full rate production

* Drive DFM, manufacturability analyses, manufacturing data, and Systemic Root Cause and Corrective Action

* Identify, expedite, or escalate quality or performance issues

* Support skills training, Manufacturing Engineering metrics, Team KPI, and Goals & Objectives to optimise processes

* Support Program Cells and the Engineering community

* Support continuous improvement and lean principles

Experience and Knowledge Required as Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer

* HND in Manufacturing / Production Engineering or related discipline

* Strong electro-mechanical manufacturing processes knowledge

* Understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical product design and operation

* Contribution to Production Programs’ effectiveness, efficiency and optimisation

* Promote Design for Excellence (DfX)

* Lead / participate in process FMEA, design review, and risk mitigation

* Understanding of 6 Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing

It Would Be Great If You Have

* Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly Processes

* Understanding of electro-mechanical manufacturing processes

* Up to £60k basic salary DOE

* Company bonus scheme (discretionary)
