Year 1 Teacher – Full-Time, Permanent – Gloucester – September 2025 Start

We are seeking a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team from September 2025. The Role:

As our new Year 1 Teacher, you’ll play a crucial role in helping young learners transition from the Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1. You will plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while fostering curiosity and confidence. We are looking for someone with a nurturing approach, strong classroom management skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for early years education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver stimulating, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 1 National Curriculum.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and tailored support to help every child succeed.

*

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

*

Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.

*

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure consistency across the Key Stage.

*

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, maintaining open and supportive communication.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

*

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.

*

A thorough understanding of early childhood development and the Year 1 curriculum.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster an encouraging learning environment.

*

A creative and reflective teaching style, with a passion for engaging young learners.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and families.
