Zenith People are looking to recruit an Outbound Sales Executive role to work at its Clients site in South Tyneside. The purpose of the role is to support growth by identifying and engaging new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity. The role focuses on creating conversations, booking appointments, consult and close, and nurturing leads through the early stages of our sales funnel. You will be a key part of driving revenue growth, contributing to the companies’ mission to provide high-quality training solutions in construction, utilities, safety, and green skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct outbound sales activity through calls, emails, and social platforms to generate leads and engage new prospects.
* Identify and qualify businesses and individuals who could benefit from our training services.
* Book appointments and secure attendance, follow-up on consultations and close as a successful sale.
* Follow up on campaign activity, previous interest, and inactive clients to re-engage opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM, ensuring all lead data and sales activity is up to date.
* Support pipeline management by tracking progress and flagging warm opportunities.
* Focussing on sales through service whilst converting new and returning business into successful sales in line with business objectives.
* Work collaboratively with the wider sales and marketing teams to align activity and messaging.
* Engage with marketing-led campaigns to support lead generation, including warm lead follow-ups.
* Share feedback from customer conversations to inform campaign adjustments and customer messaging.
* Work to clear KPIs around calls, successfully attended appointments, and conversion contribution.
* Report weekly on activity levels, conversion metrics, and feedback from the market.
Skills
* Outbound Sales Experience: Proven confidence in prospecting and cold calling.
* Communication: Articulate and professional, with the ability to hold engaging, purposeful conversations.
* Resilience: Energetic and able to handle rejection while remaining focused on targets.
* Organisation: Able to manage time and tasks effectively to maximise productivity.
* CRM Familiarity: Confident in using digital tools such as HubSpot to log activity and manage pipelines.
* Team Player: Able to work closely with the wider sales, service, and marketing functions.
