Moorfields Eye Hospital are recruiting an experienced Band 4 Pharmacy Assistant to join their highly skilled and qualified team.

To assist in the provision of a safe and efficient patient focused clinical pharmacy service in the Pharmacy dispensaries. The post holder will be working in a patient facing area as part of the dispensary clinical pharmacy team.

The post holder will work in conjunction with the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Clinical Services and the Senior Pharmacy Technicians to manage and coordinating workflow in the dispensaries, monitoring the quality of service provided and to actively promote the implementation of important Trust initiatives for out-patients services.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including Maths and English

* BTEC or NVQ level 2 in pharmaceutical services or equivalent

* Recent experience of working in a Pharmacy, ideally within the NHS.

* Experience of working in a Pharmacy dispensary

* Ability to read, write and use the English language

* Excellent communication skills

* Customer service skills

* Ability to work on own initiative and be accountable for own actions

* Excellent organisational skills and problem solving skills

* Basic IT skills

* Manual lifting & handling

* Motivated team player

* Assertive, friendly, polite and approachable

* Proactive approach and willing to learn

* Flexible to working evening and weekend shifts if required
