An organisation in the healthcare sector is looking for Assistant Management Accountant on an interim basis. This is a key opportunity for someone with solid experience in finance and management accounts who is looking to step into a dynamic role with room to grow.

The Role
You'll support the management accountants and finance manager in delivering accurate, timely financial data that drives business decisions. This includes:

* Maintaining financial systems and verifying coding/project costs

* Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments

* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis

* Supporting the quarterly management accounts process

* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting

* Monitoring procurement efficiency and supplier contracts

* Managing NHS pension reconciliations and property cost tracking

* Producing reports for project performance evaluation

* Contributing to the development of finance policies and mentoring junior finance staff

About You:

* AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience

* Proven experience in a finance role with involvement in management accounts

* Strong Excel and finance system skills

* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
