Children's Support Worker Location: Bournemouth, England Pay: £12.70 - £13.00 per hour (plus £63 per sleep-in shift) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

We are currently recruiting dynamic, caring, and experienced Children's Support Workers to join a dedicated team at a unique 3-bedroom children's home in Bournemouth. The home supports children with learning disabilities and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment both inside and beyond the home.
What We Offer:

£12.70 per hour for non-qualified Support Workers

£13.00 per hour for qualified Support Workers (Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent)

Additional sleep-in shifts paid at £63 per night

Shift Pattern:

3-week rolling rota including sleep-ins

Typical shift: 7:00am to 7:30am (with sleep-in)

One weekend in every three Example rota:

Week 1: 2 days (e.g., Wednesday & Friday)

Week 2: 2 days (e.g., Tuesday & Thursday)

Week 3: 3 days (e.g., Monday, Saturday & Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a corporate parent, providing care and emotional support

Assist with cooking, cleaning, homework, and recreational activities

Safeguard and promote the welfare of children

Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting

Support children with appointments and health checks

Apply therapeutic approaches including the PACE model to support children who have experienced trauma
Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience working with children in a support setting

Full UK driving licence

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred

Right to work in the United Kingdom
