About the Business

Our client is a national organisation delivering market-leading heating and hot water solutions through a network of regional offices across the East of England and the Midlands. Their strategic positioning ensures comprehensive coverage and responsive, high-quality service to customers.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join their busy team, carrying out servicing and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems.

Role Overview

The Heating Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heating systems within domestic properties. You will ensure systems operate safely and efficiently, completing all repairs in a timely manner while delivering an excellent standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair works across a variety of domestic properties within the region.

* Deliver high levels of customer care when interacting with clients and tenants, ensuring required quality standards are consistently met.

* Provide clear communication regarding work updates and progress.

* Accurately complete required documentation, both electronically and manually.

* Adhere strictly to Health and Safety legislation and company policies, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH regulations.

* Comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure required parts are available to complete works efficiently.

Key Skills & Requirements

* Essential gas qualifications including: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (minimum requirement).

* Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours rota, including evenings and weekends.

* A professional, approachable manner with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and tenants.

* Successful completion of all relevant pre-employment checks, including criminal record and reference checks.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch break), plus participation in the evening and weekend call-out rota.
