SEND Teaching Assistant's - Vocational

? Pay: £14.66 per hour (PAYE) or £16.14 per hour (Umbrella)

Prospero Teaching is recruiting passionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant's to support young adults with learning disabilities in vocational training settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners develop skills for independent living and employment in the hospitality sector.

About the Role

You'll work alongside tutors and vocational teams to support students in practical learning environments, helping them build confidence, independence, and employability skills. This includes assisting in sessions, creating resources, and supporting students in both educational and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities

Support students during vocational training sessions under tutor guidance.
Promote independence, communication, and teamwork skills.
Assist with behaviour management and progress tracking.
Collaborate with education, therapy, and residential teams.
Help maintain safe and inclusive learning environments.
Contribute to resource creation and session preparation.

What We're Looking For

Experience in education, care, or hospitality (desirable but not essential).
Level 2 in English and Maths (required).
Level 3 qualification in education (desirable).
Understanding of working with individuals with disabilities (preferred).
A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach.
Commitment to safeguarding and equality.
Enhanced Adult & Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
