Job Requirements of this Teaching Assistant job in Lichfield

Passion for working directly with pupils and young people aged 7 to 18.

Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Experience or willingness to work with pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and parents/guardians.

Dedication to guiding individual learning journeys and supporting the emotional and physical needs of pupils.

Flexibility and adaptability to assist in preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and providing hands-on support under supervision.

Commitment to shaping young minds and fostering a passion for learning.

Qualifications or Certificates:

Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Youth Work, Social Work, or related field.

Relevant certifications in behaviour management or similar training programmes preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people aged 7 to 18 is desirable.

Experience in supporting pupils with SEMH needs would be advantageous.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take on responsibilities for pupil welfare and development.
