Our client, a renowned consultancy within the civil engineering sector, is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on water infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on pipelines in Yorkshire and UU regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and overseeing water infrastructure projects, including pipelines
Preparing detailed civil designs and engineering calculations
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
Conducting site assessments and inspections as required
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers
Utilising industry-specific software for design and project management tasks
Contributing to the preparation of technical reports and documentation

Job Requirements:

Expertise in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector
Proficiency in designing water infrastructure and pipeline projects
Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements
Experience with relevant design and project management software
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
