What Does a Graduate Teaching Assistant Do?
Graduate Teaching Assistants in secondary schools, you will play a vital role in supporting both students and teachers by:
Working with individuals or small groups, helping them to understand lessons, complete tasks, and stay engaged
Supporting students with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), or those requiring academic or emotional support
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student participation in class activities
Helping prepare learning resources, setting up classroom materials, supporting with displays, and tracking student progress
Providing classroom support, ensuring that the learning environment remains safe, inclusive, and focused
Assisting teachers in managing time and ensuring all students receive the help they need to succeed

Requirements:
A degree in any subject (minimum requirement)
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Check (if applicable), and valid references
A CV covering the last 10 years of employment/education (if applicable)
