The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning within the classroom, across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. Working under the direction of class teachers and the SENCO (where applicable), you will assist in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, support pupils’ academic and social development, and help maintain a positive, stimulating learning environment.
Location: Read, Burnley
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 1st September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual pupils and small groups with their learning.
- Assist the class teacher with preparation of resources and classroom displays.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote the school’s values and ethos.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress.
- Support children with special educational needs and/or English as an additional language, as required.
- Help with supervision during break and lunch times as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – essential
- Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting – desirable
- TA qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) – desirable but not essential
