About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our specialist SEN setting, providing tailored support to students with additional learning needs and challenging behaviours. You will work closely with students in small groups as well as delivering 1:1 interventions, helping them to develop essential skills and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to students with Autism and other additional learning needs.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in regulating emotions and behaviours.
Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist in the development of personalised learning plans and interventions.
Foster strong relationships with students, promoting confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
Requirements:
Previous experience in behaviour support, ideally within an SEN setting.
A strong understanding of Autism and strategies to support students with additional needs.
Ability to work effectively in small group settings and 1:1 interventions.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with challenging behaviours.
