Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This opportunity is based in Manchester and focuses on infrastructure and pipeline projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and overseeing the design of civil engineering projects within the water sector
Coordinating and managing design activities related to infrastructure and pipelines
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met
Preparing and reviewing technical reports and design documentation
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Liaising with clients and stakeholders to align project requirements and deliverables
Conducting site visits and inspections as required

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector
Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure and pipeline design
Proven ability to lead and manage design teams
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Chartered engineer status (or working towards it) is preferred
