SEMH Teaching Assistant – September Start

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment this September. This is a full-time role, working 5 days a week, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

Support students in managing behaviour and emotional challenges

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external agencies

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with SEMH students or young people with behavioural needs

Patient, empathetic, and resilient

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong behaviour management strategies

Relevant qualifications or training (preferred, but not essential)
