We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on a permannet basis for a large engineering company based in Widnes.
Salary is c£35-42,000 per annum plus 22 days' holidays and bank holidays, pension etc.
Duties for the Electrical Design Engineer:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing multiple projects related to chemical dosing systems, specifically for the water treatment industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading engineering company that provides bespoke solutions for the water industry, with a focus on gas and liquid chemical dosing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality engineering designs.
* Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams, control philosophies, and detailed process calculations.
* Ensure all designs meet health and safety standards, including the generation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Conduct site visits for surveys, client meetings, and to support project delivery.
* Maintain strong customer relationships by balancing demands and managing client expectations.
* Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Operate independently while seeking support from colleagues and line managers as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in electrical design, ideally within the water or wastewater treatment industry.
* Strong background in working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
* Experience in developing detailed designs from feasibility through to execution.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
* Adaptable, with a willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
