Contek Recruitment are working with a precision engineering client based in Basildon, who are looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join their team. Our client supplies precision machined components from a new product introduction stage, through to volume production. Working in various sectors including Defence/Aerospace and Automotive (EV).

PAY:

- Programmer, Setter, Operator - £18 - £20p/h

- Setter, Operator (Editing) - £14 - £16p/h

WORKING HOURS (Choice)

Flexible Day shift position - 39hrs per week (8-3pm core hours)

OR

Afternoon shift position - 4pm-12am (40hrs) +25% uplift

Our client is actively recruiting for a CNC Miller to join the team due to their substantial order book and acquisition of new company to their existing group. Their rates of pay are very attractive, as is their package of benefits. Do you have mechanical and manufacturing experience, and excellent communication skills? You’ll be required to produce components in accordance with customer exacting requirements and specifications, whilst adhering to company policies and standards.

Job duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities:

* Program, set and operate CNC Mills using FANUC/MAZAK/HAAS controls

* Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs (FANUC/MAZAK/HAAS)

* Read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate tooling.

* Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate cutting & machining conditions.

* Demonstrate knowledge of using measuring equipment.

* Inspection and recording of all relevant dimensions.

* Completion of all documentation and record labour bookings.

* Demonstrate engagement with other Team Members.

* Basic machine maintenance.

* Provide support and training to other team members when required.

* Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment.

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded.
